I live in the Ghetto!

Sarah and I took some trash to the dumpster. A car pulled into the parking lot… A man got out.. and walked overto us, asked “Did you just throw some shoes away?” Sarah said “Yes” Man “How bad of shape were they in?” Sarah “well I did wear have them for a while” Man “Maybe they aren’t so bad, some people throw stuff away when they could still be used. What is the size are they?” Sarah “An 8″……….. Then he begain to look in the trash bin, yes I think that means that we live in the ghetto.

I think you do to. When we lived in Loma Linda there was a guy that came to the dumpster and rummaged for hours in the early morning. I loaned him a wrench and I never got it back; I don’t believe he was mentally all there but we lived in the ghetto then. While at the same time we loved it and I felt safe there.
When Mar and I first married, I would walk up to BYU and there was a old guy with a cane almost every morning tilted over the neighboring apts garbage cans.
Peope try to survive although not the cleanest way, nor the most legal method.

I don’t know…I have to say I know people who dumpster dive and find some amazing stuff that people do throw away. Usually it’s better when people just leave the nicer stuff to the side of the dumpster or garbage can in case someone does want to make use of it. You see that a lot around here.
