Well as I have talked to my friend before the game it came about that there was no change AUTO would win.. That is okay with me because it is just a fun game, right? No, they said only losers say it is just a fun game.

So Saturday we played them.

The first inner, we got ahead 5 to nothing. Maybe we had a little luck on our side, but by the last inning we were ahead 12 to 4.. Yeah I am pretty sure AUTO PUT FIRE OUT, YAAY! It was a really fun game and a great opportunity to get to know people outside of work.. I had a couple of good hits; the first one only got caught because Nick dove for it. At least they were past short stop, but not quit into the far outfield. I played catcher and I am a little sore, but what harm is that?

I must say FIRE put a lot of work into there matching shirts, they looked great and we hardly matched. But all that matters in the end is that we won!

That night we had a BBQ, it was fun again to hang out with people from work, see them in a casual setting.

A few weeks ago I was at church, engaged in a lovely conversation with the hottest guy in my ward. John Crismon, go to Sarah’s flickr acount to check him out. When a guy walked up to me and asked if he could have my number? It suprised me, so I gave him my number.

10 minutes after church someone called and left a voice message. It went something like this ‘Hi this is Darren I got your number at church, I am not sure how meny guys got your number today I was wearing a tan vest.. I am sure he said more, but I cannot remember. I called back and thanks him for thinking of me, but that I wasn’t interested and that I was seeing someone.

I was sitting at Jp’s talking to my mom. When someone called I had not saved Darren’s number thinking that he would never call me back, don’t you worry it was him. He wanted to get my last name and wanted to let me know that if I was ever interested we could double date. I said ok.. and we hung up the phone.

Today after church he came up to me and asked me if my boy toy and I wanted to go on a double date this weekend, luckily Ryan is out of town for work. I said no thank, he said that he would ask again next week..

Wow that was funny!!! It is a lot funnier when I tell you the story in person!

Last week I was at work. Yes at work, I was sitting at my desk enjoying working a little over time. I looked to the left and WHAT did I see? A bug. YES! A yellow bug. I emailed my friend Josh that sits close by to see if he would kill the bug. He didn’t respond because he had already left work.
I emailed Ryan and said:

“Ryan, If there was a bug at my desk, would you come kill it?”

He replied. “I would say ‘Kill it yourself, its a waste of time for me to come upstairs and kill a bug at your desk.’”

I looked at the bug for about 3 minutes and thought to myself, I’m going home.. So I got up and left work. HAHA I was not killing the bug and I wasn’t working at my desk with the bug next to me.

I have wanted to do something that would help me becoming involved in the community. I felt that becoming a Big Sister, maybe in someway I could help someone younger than me that is in a less of a ideal situation become aware that there is a better operetunity out there. If possible my home could be a haven for the “little” when things are to much at home.

Life is going good, I am really enjoying work and my social life. I got to go wakeboarding Tuesday after work, it was a blast. My friend Tami got a new board, it is 132 smaller then I had ever rode. I loved it!! I think I ad the best set that I have ever taken.

Sarah, Mark and Lexie were kind and wrote my referances, for BBBS.

It is starting to cool down here in Mesa and I love it. I cannot wait for another month or so when I can start biking and hiking again. Sorry my blogs are always short I don’t really have to much to say!

I am still enjoying State Farm, something that I have noticed is that it seems everytime I need to go to the bathroom-someone wants to chat on my way to the restrom. The worst is when someone wants to talk in the restroom, really do they think I want to talk when all that is on my mind is “When are you going to stop talking? I think I might pee my pants”.. I just thought I would share that with everyone. I have a picture at work, of Sarah, Amie, Dad and I. I love it. The picture was taken at JP and MA’s wedding. Dad looks so happy and healthy..

Sarah and I moved into our new place- I must say it isn’t our favorite, but it works. It will take some getting used to.

I haven’t been biking, wakeboarding or pretty much anything fun lately. I have just been relaxing. I have done a bit of reading, The Innocent Man by John Grisham. And of course Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Mayer. Not my favorite, but it will work. I still haven’t finished the book. I will this weekend so Sarah can read it.

I have notice that missing Dad comes at the strangest times, not when I would expect it. I found my old phone and was looking at the old text, I found a handful from Dad, I was so glad that I had saved them. I still haven’t taken his number out of my phone. I need to go to bed, I will try to update more later.

As most of you know I started a new job at State Farm May 27, 2008 Tuesday. I got the oppertunity to work on mail all last week, it was a blast. I got to take it to whoever it was to go to and ran letters that others had printed off. It was a fun way to get to know more people. Everyone has been so friendly. 3 other people and I carpool to work, we get the carpool lane.. So nice getting to and from work and it saves on gas. Now that I am single people i work with are telling me that they know the perfect boy for me and that we would make a great couple. I laugh because they don’t even know me. How would they know a great person for me to date? I politely express to them that I am not ready to date, but thanks for thinking of me.

I went to institute last night it was excellent, talked a lot about the after life. I couldn’t stop thinking about mom and dad. I cried the last half of class. I ran into Mark after class, it was nice to talk to him. He is doing well. I rode Sarah’s bike it was nice to ride home get some air. I am now going to a luau. I hope that is fun. Last weekend I felt like I threw myself into the single ward, it was nice to get out. But I realized that I am not ready to start dating again. Friends are nice and that is all I need right now. I need sometime to myself. Lots of changes have happened in my life the last few weeks. I need to lay low for a while it will do my soul some good.

Tonight is a night I don’t think I will forget..

I was at my house making dinner. Mark came over, we had a good evening together. As he was getting ready to leave I decided to ask him if he like me a lot or a bit? So I asked if he had put some thought into a converstion we had a month ago, he said slowly, yes you always seem to want to talk about this on the wrong nights.. Then he confessed that he doesn’t think he likes me more than casual dating. I realized that Mark is never going to like me in the way that I want, so I said well I think we need to break up. We talked for a while after that and it was good. Around 10:30 I told him he needed to go, I wanted to go to sleep. We hugged, as we did I wondered would this be a choice I will regret? Yes, Mark is stunning and I am sure I will be stunned the next time I see him and wonder why I let something so great go… No, I will still be happy life goes on. I have things to look forward to. Awesome roommies, a new job. I am starting a new chapter in my life; because my life is a storybook!

The night was over he went home, I came to blog.

Sunday (Mothers day) when we talked to our mom for mothers day she let us know that dad was in the hospital and he wasn’t doing well. Around 9 we got the phone call on exactly what was happening, the tumor in my dad’s stomach had grown it was blocking his intestine so he couldn’t digest; therefore, he was throwing everything he ate and drank up. After hearing that I got a strong impression to go home work didn’t matter I needed to be home at this time. I talked to Sarah and let her know what I was going to come home, Jp was planning on coming home Tuesday.

Monday, Sarah and I left for our journey I drive the speed limit and under (safer and better gas mileage). We got to Delta around 8, we went straight to the hospital. Dad was looking good we spent some time chatting with him. I got to spend the night with him, every time he would hiccup I was ready with a bag for him to throw up. It was a long night, but a good night for me to see what my dad had been going through and my mom.

Tuesday morning I read to him from the Book of Mormon. After I read the chapter he bore his testimony, then I read the Little Prince to him. We got a handful of chapters into it before my mom come. I went home to do a few things and get ready for the day. I started to help mow the lawn, and cousins and aunts and uncles came over, we all went to the hospital and visited with dad. He was very tired and didn’t really talk just thanked everyone for coming and went back to sleep. Tuesday night we brought him home, I started to put ginger ale on his ice chips.. He liked that.

Wednesday morning first thing he asked me was to go sneak him some ginger ale for him to drink, so I did it, my mom didn’t love the idea at first then she realized that if he wanted it let him have it and I was. Wednesday he seemed to be doing ok, I was thinking he had at least two more weeks.

Thursday came he didn’t talk and he couldn’t walk. He expressed to Jp that he was going to try to make it to mom’s birthday so that she could collect his social security money because he thought she needed to be 60. The boys did research and found out that he didn’t need to be 60 things would be fine. So that night when everyone was at home Spencer, Phil and Jp gave dad a blessing letting him know mom would be fine and be taken care of..

Friday morning at 7 Spencer came and told me that dad had just passed away. We all chatting in his room for a long time. Thank goodness mom got a tramp for her mothers day, to keep the kids happy. We called Wendy(the nurse) and let her know, she called Dr Jackson. They both came by, then the Nickles came by and took his body. Before lunch Lily goes to the room he was in and comes back out and say’s did Grandpa already die? We told her yes.. It was a mellow day I ate lunch out side with Oscar and Kenzie as we were eating Kenzie decided to let me know that grandpa and died and gone to Heaven and was know with Jesus Christ. That was a good reminder that he was in a better place and much happier, no more pain… Even thought it is hard for me, I know that I will see him again and it will be a joyous reunion when that happens. And that he is with his mom and dad and his son Benjamin Jacob. The rest of the time has gone so quickly I cannot believe that I am going home Saturday what will my mom do after we all leave? I guess we will have to call and check up on her, often.

Friday night Mark and I went camping with my ward. I made tinfoil dinners, they turned out good a little burnt. When we got to the campsite everyone was very friendly to both of as. After we had been there about 30 minutes someone asked us how long we had been dating, Mark told them around 3 months. The conversation ended and pretty much no one else talked to us the rest of the night. It was interesting to see how I eat and how everyone else was eating I had done a lot of thinking about snacks and things to have, I had cliff bars and carrots and black and red panda licorice; everyone else had marshmallows, starburts, and other treats. I told Mark that I was sorry for not having better treats he laughed and said that he would much rather have what I had packed because in about an hour they weren’t going to feel the best after eating all the treats. After we ate and they did the wards getting to know each other Mark and I went to his car and listened to music. It was fun, I got to see a different side of Mark that night. He does enjoy his sleep and if he isn’t comfortable, he wants to go home.. hahah! The next day we did some exploring and found a handful of lizards. At breakfast I didn’t want bacon or sausage and one of the Bishopric members wife said that should be a decision make right there. Mark just laughed and said I already knew about her eating habits.

We went home and for a few hours did our own things, then we went swimming at his pool. We were exciting reading our books while getting a little sun. Mark and Bryan got to the pool before I did and some girls were already swimming, they were talking to them asking the boys age Mark said he was 12 and one girl said you don’t look like your 12, he said how old do you think I am? She said 22(he is 26), and he said ok we 22, how old are you? The girls said 21. I am pretty sure they were 14 at the oldest. I am grateful Mark didn’t dump me after I got to the pool for the, haha.. We ended up taking a dip in the pool and while we were swimming we saw a dead bird in his pool. DISGUSTING!

Mark finally agreed to let me wax his chest for him. After the first rip he expressed that he thought I was going to rip of his nipple, we laughed the rest of the rips were not that bad. And later he did comment about liking the smoothness. Later that night he did say that he liked it and was glad he did it.

Then I babysat and JP and MA’s. It was fun I got to watch The Office and Law and Order. After Mark and I watched Sweeney Todd, we didn’t like that at all, but it was nice to get some time together, before I took of to Utah the next Monday!
